Concise Summary on the Christian Standard on Blood

As blood was used as medicine by the Romans, the injunction against blood at Acts 15:19, 20, 28, 29 included using blood as medicine as well as food.

UPDATE (October 20, 2026): Please refer to the Governing Body 2026 Updates 2 and 6. Also, upon reviewing my blog post I noticed a miscategorization: medical blood is not medicine but a liquid organ. A blood transfusion is a liquid organ transplant, something outside the purview of the ancient Romans and Christians.
